This has been covered in the above, section 19, but to repeat myself: Though Jesus is fully God, He became fully man so that he could be our atoning sacrifice. Even though he is God He had to live with all the weakness of man (but without sin) and keep the whole law. As a man He had all those human needs of eating, sleeping, etc. Why would He not express his strong emotions by crying just like all real men do? Why would He be spared of temptation while living as a man – but without falling into temptation? Jesus has now been lifted to glory and has his power and glory back.
I will finish this section with what the Bible says about it;
Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
Philippians 2:6-8.
